The original SEG connector on the WV-AD36 back-end is a plastic thing that I've never seen used anywhere else, we had no mating connectors for it, nor any sources to buy them. Not only that, but the connector on the back-end is missing a couple of pins that would, otherwise, carry useful signals (what I'd call essential signals, for connecting to a Special Effects Generator, otherwise known as a vision mixer). So we replaced it with a common CCJ plug (male, because the cable will carry 12 volts DC power on it, and you shouldn't have power on exposed pins).
The connector will fit, with a bit of persuasion. You'll have to cut the external plastic label around the connectors, to make a larger hole. But the inside metal bracket, albeit with a square hole, is just big enough for the CCJ to fit through it.
Now we can use standard male to female CCJ cables between the camera, and the control room, carrying all the basic signals needed for studio use (camera video, line-view, genlock, tally, intercom, and power).
