Simplicity in intercom systems

This system was designed to do all that most people required from it in a video production:  Communication between people, simple to operate, the ability to hear the program sound.  Simple to plug stations in.  Simple to add extra features.  Simple to understand how to use it.

And it's independent from other equipment.  Since it's self-contained, it doesn't have to be compatible with a plethora of different equipment.  And a camera operator can talk through problems, even if their camera isn't functioning.

Little else is ever required by the camera operators.  Some control room crew may want extra features:

• Stereo program monitoring for the audio operator, choices of different audio sources.
• Different audio groups in the control room (camera crew, sound crew) that can be joined together or kept separate.

This system allows for that, stations can be as simple as required.  More complex stations can be added.  Interlinking controls can be fitted in a production assistant's station.
