Some of the software that I'm using

For those of you that are curious, I'll list some of the software that I use (all of which is properly owned/registered).

On the Amiga:

I waited for several weeks, in December 1999, for MUI's (“Magic User Interface,” a GUI system) registration to come through, but eventually gave up waiting (if they can't be bothered about it, neither can I).

And some other software that I'm using, that doesn't require registration:

And yet some more software, that still has a long way to go before it's even worthy of being registered:

Though the Amiga's now stripped back to just about all that's necessary for using Scala for video titling (pretty much just AmigaOS 3.1, Scala, PPaint, and Directory Opus).

And on the IBM clones:

Linux

Windows

Yeah, it's a bit bare, I've not listed stuff that I'm trying out and haven't decided to register yet.  And I'm still trying to find some decent software.  I've tried out various bits and pieces, but so far have found a lot of rubbish and not much I'd use through choice.  And I'm not into installing everything under the sun onto my computers, either.  Mine are tools for working with, not toys.

I'm still trying to find a terminal program as good as Term (Amiga), NetTerm is the closest I've come, but it's still nowhere near as good.  And I'm yet to find a decent program for recording long WAV files direct to hard disk.
